Lok Fu Plaza | 2025 Community Cultural Ambassador – Lok Lok Chinese Orchestra 'It's That Simple to 'Point' Out the Twelve Chinese Zodiacs' Community Tour 'Catching the Twelve Chinese Zodiacs One by One'
Description
The twelve Chinese zodiacs originated from ancient Chinese people's worship of animals. Ancient people matched their birth years with twelve symbolic animals, and the zodiacs have since become a long-standing folk custom, with everyone having a corresponding zodiac sign. This event will be hosted by children's drama creator Lee Hoi Yan, combining Chinese music, glove puppets, and parent-child game workshops to incorporate the audience's beloved zodiac theme into cultural programs. Lee Hoi Yan will interact with the audience in a humorous and interesting manner, accompanied by the 'Happy Lok Lok Chamber Ensemble' mimicking the sound effects of the twelve zodiacs with the unique timbre of traditional Chinese musical instruments and performing Chinese folklore, allowing the audience to experience Chinese culture up close. This event is also one of the activities in the series of promoting Chinese culture. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has been actively promoting Chinese history and culture and organizing a diverse range of programs and activities to enhance the public's understanding of the profound and extensive Chinese culture.
